A Floral Remembrance
We Byzantine faithful proclaim at this time, "Christ is Risen!" - "Indeed He is Risen!" What a beautiful phrase to proclaim the reality of our salvation won by Christ. This promise of everlasting life is commemorated by the addition of a floral display to our church rendering the memory of our loved ones eternal. May their memories bloom eternal in our hearts, and may God bless these thoughtful donors and keep these special people for whom these flowers are intended be constantly in our Lord's loving embrace.

On 29 June the church celebrated the Great Feast of the Prime Apostles, Peter and Paul. (View Photos) This is also the patronal feast of our parish family. We commemorated this Great Feast of the Prime Apostles and our patrons with a luncheon on 29 June 2008 following the 11 AM Sunday Divine Liturgy. This will be the "kick-off" for our year of preparation for the rededication of our church in 2009.
At this Patronal Feast Day luncheon we honored the vocations from our parish. As we prepare to celebrate the Rededication of our church and as we begin to personally rededicate ourselves to God, the Church and to this particular Parish, we pause to give thanks to God for the men and women from our parish who answered His call to serve Him and His Church as a priest or nun. Our parish has been blessed with priests Fr. David Witkowski, Fr. John Seniw, Fr, John Mihalco, Msgr. William Biebel (whom we claim because he attributes his vocations to the encouragement of Fr. John Onesko), nuns Sr. Perpetua (Rose) Kavcsak, OSBM, Sr. Julia Rohaly, OSB, Sr. Sylvia Burnett, OSBM, and seminarian William Rupp.
